There is convenient free parking right outside Lily Cottage with pubs, grocery store and chip shop within a few minutes walk.
For your comfort the cottage is no smoking, well behaved pets are very welcome. The cottage is fully central heated at no extra cost and controllable at your own convenience.
The lounge has a custom built oak fireplace with a log burning stove for which we supply an initial supply of fuel. There is a Smart TV which can access "catch up TV" and Freeview channels also a DVD player. A number of Ordinance Survey maps of the district are available for reference as well as some suggestions for walks and books on Northumberland.
We are pleased to supply Wi Fi service as an extra at no extra cost.
As well as the obvious crockery and cutlery the kitchen has the following:
Table and 4 chairs, microwave, wine glasses, tumblers, George Forman grill, 4 slice toaster, kettle, teapot saucepans, frypan, pyrex ovenware, baking trays, Yorkshire pudding tin, slow cooker, food steamer, iron and ironing board, Dyson animal vacuum, grater, garlic crusher, washing machine, small freezer, a small clothes horse (there is a washing line in the garden too) mop and bucket. We also supply tea bags and instant coffee washing up liquid and cleaning products. There are lots of teatowels and dishcloths too.
A double bed with a memory foam topper, a chest of drawers and double wardrobe. A hairdryer is available too and there is a full length mirror. Beds are made up for arrival and a bathsheet and we leave a bathsheet and handtowel per person. There is also a cot and high chair available if required
Has a chest of drawers, hanging hooks and a triple bunk bed. (3/4 bed with a single over) small mirror and a hairdryer.
We leave a supply of toilet tissues, foam bath, handtowel and there is often shampoo and conditioner available.
The cottage has a large landscaped, enclosed garden with patio furniture a barbeque . The garden is not overlooked so you can enjoy the sun in private and children or pets can play quite safely with no danger from traffic. There is a hose with a sprinkle attachment if needed to clean dogs after beach visits etc.
There are two small steps into the front of the cottage, two
steps from the lounge to the kitchen and a small step in the bathroom. There are also steps into the garden. Due to the age of the cottage (1837) the doors are narrower than modern houses, therefore the cottage would be difficult for wheelchair users or anyone with very severe mobility difficulties.
